Broad Plain had to work very hard for this one, Winning 2 and losing 2 but winning on tries scored in the end. St Berns arrived with a real mixed bag of players ranging from u6s to u8s. They gave us a really tough few games with the older players doing the damage with their fantastic running with ball in hand. Although they had a little lad named Alfie i think, i'm not sure what age he is but looks a great talent. One thing that probably let us down this week was our tagging, usually one of our strong points we weren't quite on point today. That said the morning did turn cold and even i struggled with the countless amounts of shoe laces i had to tie up during the games so maybe this was a factor.

Another new arrival this week was Rian. A real i catcher, not down to the fact he had gleaming white shorts on but on his seeming natural ability to know where the try line is. Scoring 3 tries and getting a few tags along the way. A real debut to remember!

Also making his debut was Ronnie. an obvious natural sportsman. fast, agile, evasive and a really nice lad. scoring loads of tries and tagging well its easy to see that he is going to be a fantastic all round sportsman. We are happy to have Ronnie here and hope we can improve him even more.

A few strong performances by our boys. Dan played really well, getting his reward with a great snake like run down the wing scoring a and try to finish it off. Zachary pulled off a few great tags and scored his try but the stand out player and MOTM was Ollie, The current bulldog champion is fulfilling his potential with some direct running and terrific tagging. His ability to avoid tackles with his fluent running and his low centre of gravity make him a real asset to this team. A genuine talent and an absolute shoe in for a star of the future. Well done Ollie.
