All four opposition teams in the pool were more physical and strong than our usual Sunday fixtures. Of them, Cleve was the only team the boys had played previously. All games were played in the best of spirits. Our boys stuck to their strength and treated us to a fast and accurate passing game. They won two and drew two to make it into the plate quarter finals. Here they won to secure a place in the semis on the 29th of March. They gelled as a team and played for each other today - so proud!!
Also - today was my swan song as coach. There is not much more rugby I can teach the boys as they move on and up from here. And few of them now need me to wipe their noses or tie their laces. As I have told Scott and Andy, I'll happily step in to help out if needed. I may also come back to contribute on the fitness and conditioning side when it comes to it (not a joke!).
I have had a blast and it's been an absolute privilege to watch the boys develop. Time to step aside.
