BP pitched up with good numbers and plenty of enthusiasm for their last fixture against Kidderminster who were kicking off their Bristol tour.
On a high from the last few performances the boys declared that playing MT last week was good fun (apparently kids defines fun in over 80 ways and having a good scrap of a game obviously hit some buttons!) and they wanted to capture and play with the same intensity.
So the lads took to the field full of intent and put the visitors under pressure from the start. They maintained the intensity in defence and when on the ball the lads attacked with determination and vigour – hard running, offloading and popping of the deck defined the attacking play today.
After a concerted fight back in the 2nd half Kiddy worked a well deserved try at the final whistle to end the game 7-1. This was a good spirited game throughout with sound core skills shown by both teams.
The Kiddy crew were certainly organised with enough coaches to supply the ref, 2 linesmen with flags, first aider, coach and team manager! Thanks to you all for pitching up, presenting a tour shirt (post trip to A&E), supplying the M5 trophy, feeding Billy (The Sushi King) raw fish and inviting us back this time next year – we will make sure it’s in the fixtures diary.
